N.Zakharov, P.Kuznetsov, G.Sokolov, O.Khvostenko (Krasnoyarsk). Peak Schwarze (2585). Wolthat Massive. Big Wall class climb, 6a-6b

Some additional information about peak Shvartse (team from Krasnoyarsk), he was renamed, now it’s peak Valery Chkalov, 2585m, Wolthat Massive. The activities began on January, 30, when, from a bivy Khvostenko, Zakharov, Kuznetsov, Sokolov fixed pitches over two days, then on 1st of February they set out to do their ascent (excellent crack climbing on sound granit, complete lack of snow and ice on the route) via the south face, placing stoppers, friends, fifas, anchors and bolts for protection, sometimes freeclimbed, finding crack climbing up to 6b. They spent the nights in the tents on the route. The 20-pitch route took them 8 days and one full day on the descent. Perfect weather was a key to their success.
