The team of Odintsov (project “Russian way of the Wall of the world”), triumphers of the last climbing season, has chosen a new wall for the continuation of “Russian way”. The new purpose of a team became the North-east wall of peak Masherbrum (7821ì) in Karakorum, Pakistan. Its three-kilometer steep wall still has been gone by nobody. On July, 4 Odintsov and Ruchkin have returned from Pakistan, after investigation of mountain. Ruchkins comment was laconic: “Mountain excellent!”. Top Masherbrum - extremely beautiful double top located in the bottom southwest part of huge glacier Baltoro. Data on ascentions on Masherbrum are extremely poor. The first pass on top on a southern crest has been accomplished in 1960 by the American team. In 90th years unsuccessful attempts to rise on top on a southeast crest have been accomplished some. By Odintsov's inquiry in the near future from the Pakistan archives data on expeditions on Masherbrum will be submitted. The northeast wall (it begins with height of 4,5 kilometers and comes to an end before top) on complexity does not concede, and in something even surpasses northern wall Jannu gone by a team in the last year. After the investigation which have been carried out in june by Odintsov and Ruchkin, it became clear that to organize route with intermediate camps as on Jannu is impossible (the relief does not allow). Last base camp is at height 6, 5 kms. After it the ascention will proceed in a mode non-stop. Further the command will stop for the night on pendant platforms. Wall Masherbrum has drawn attention of the leader of a team of Alexander Odintsov during an ascention on Trango a Tower in the summer of 1999, and it has accepted the final decision after trip to Japan in February, 2005. Approximately during same time the negative answer about prospects of an ascention on Machepuchara, sacred mountain in Nepal has acted. The ascention on Masherbrum is planned for June, 2006, a command from 6 person (the structure is specified).
