Information-review About the Mountains in the Southern Part of the Range Chihacheva in Mongolian Altai. Part 2

3.2. Passes

The region of the massif Turgen-Ula is very compact. So, it was used for exploring-pioneering values and further tourist groups were going to traditional routes to mountains of Western Tuva to Shapshalsky ridge or ridge Cagan-Shibetu. Sport recourses of this mountain range allows to make ascents of 5th grade of difficulty, mountain hikes of 5th grade of difficulty, pedestrian and skiing hikes of the 6th grade of difficulty (in bunch with the neighboring regions).

Passes and series went through by the group under the direction of S. Bezditko:

- Pass Tauteke (3288, 1B, passed for the first time)

- Pass Dguchi-Han (3300, 2A, passed for the first time)

- Series: glacier and pass Tuur (3600, 2A, passed for the first time, radial) +peak Ugeday (3850, 1B, the ascent was made for the first time, radial) (2A) – the traverse of peak Andazin (2A, 3896, made for the first time, radial).

- Pass Zajitnikov Otechestva (3600, 2A, passed for the first time, radial) – peak Turgeni-Ehini-Ula (4029, 3, 3A by tourist classification, the ascent was made for the first time, radial)

- Pass Irina (3363, (2A), the ascent was made for the first time, 1B radial).


The upper course of the right source of the river Turgeni-Gol. The central and orographically left circuses. Passes Irina and Podsolnechny are seen.

- Pass Podsolnechny, (3335, 2B, passed for the first time)

- Pass Podsolnechny (3335, 2B, passed for the first time).
- Series: Mount Compromiss (3601, 2А from the river Narin-Gol, the ascent was made for the first time) – traverse on the pass Tauteke (3288, 1B, passed for the first time in summer).

- Pass Ledovy (3440, 2B, passed for the first time).
