As we informed earlier the First Latvian Shisha Pangma Main (8027) Expedition started on April, 10 2006. It would be - the first eight-thousander for all team's members: Andris Malasevskis, Atis Plakans, Kaspars Klapkalns and Liga Plakane.

As the result they did not climbed the Main summit (8027m), because the weather was bad in climbing day on May 13 - big storm, a lot of snow. Andris Malasevskis, Liga Plakane, Kaspars Klapkalns, Atis Plakans reached 7600m. After a week on May, 18 Atis Plakans together with German climbers reached Central summit (8013m). The guys said: "But this was nice trip. We saw Lhasa, Tibet, Nepal, rafting, jungles....Nepal is a nice place!"
